It’s a real good thing I like pink hearts. And glitter.
Posted by Liz (February 1, 2013 at 8:00 am), 4 CommentsI was perusing Create Craft Love‘s adorable blog a few weeks ago and, while skimming, stopped short when I read this:
“Remember back in grade school, getting ready for Valentine’s Day and the big Valentine Exchange? I loved getting all the little cards, stickers, and candy! It’s kind of like having a birthday on Facebook as an adult. I loved feelin’ the love!”
The memories just came flooding back. Doilies and construction paper, stickers, those tiny spicy “red hot” hearts. Wondering, as you were painstakingly signing all your cards, who would be giving you Valentines in return.
With all that in mind, you can imagine my response when I saw this fine image with the sign-up form below it:
Yeah. I signed up. Needless to say, almost 50 participants later, I’m going to busy making many, many Valentines in the VERY near future. Nothing like 50 people relying on you to make a gal follow through!
Here are some great Valentine inspiration pics I found around the web:

Candie, are you making valentines for anyone this year? xo Liz
Yes! I actually have a Vday idea up my sleeve! Keep your eyes peeled for a blog post! ;) Also, I can’t wait to see your finished product of these 50+ cards!
I’m really digging the heart punch garland. Excellent use of paint samplers. This brings up a point that crafters can turn hay into gold. I remember the big vday, going to school with candy grams and whatnot. Here’s to seeing the tradition live long, and I love your blog.
Totally agree – paint chips are such a fun (and free) craft supply. Thanks for stopping by!
